José Manuel Ferreira Marques dies.
The heirs, Gabriel and Silvestre Ferreira Marques, take over the management of the company.
The two brothers create the Topázio brand in 1934, in honour of their mother's favourite stone - Topaz.

They start producing their first large decorative items.
They produce the large D. Joăo V vase.

Topázio innovates its collection and makes the first products with two noble materials, silver and crystal. These new products were a success in all the markets.

By this time, the D. Joăo V style is Topázio's most famous line of products.
This leads to the style being reproduced by two factories in Israel, where it is called the “Oporto Style” -
At the end of the 90s, Topázio reaches its growth peak with a core business of silver decoration and table items.

The price of silver keeps going up in the first decade of the 21st century. Starting at €0.25 a gram, silver reaches €1.10 in 2011. The Topázio pieces reach their greatest value ever at that time.
Working on a new strategy and new pieces, Topázio celebrates its 140th anniversary full of history and tradition with a limited collection signed by authors from different areas such as architecture and design to reinvent the iconic Topázio piece - the D. Joăo V. vase. -
The launch of a cutlery set with an innovative design - Genesis and investment in diversification with the launch of Citrino - the new brass line.
