Project summary:
Ferreira Marques e Irmão SA (hereinafter referred to as Topázio and/or the company) applied for notice 03/C11-i01/2022 to ensure the adoption of energy efficiency and decarbonization measures in the industry as part of its environmental sustainability policy. Topázio manufactures and sells jewelry, cutlery, and decorative items, using silver as its main raw material, which can be combined with crystal, glass, ceramic, or wood pieces. The company's production activities are highly energy-dependent, with electricity accounting for approximately 90% of global energy consumption. Therefore, within the scope of this project, the company seeks to adopt measures to reduce GHG emissions and increase energy autonomy by replacing lighting systems with more energy-efficient systems and installing one photovoltaic UPAC, with a significant impact on intervention areas 024ter and 029, respectively.
By making these investments, Topázio aims to achieve the following results:
